PURCHASING FAQs
What sort of taxes should I expect to pay when my items arrive on my doorstep?
Customers are responsible for any and all import taxes and/or international import customs duties that may be due on your Ruscool Electronics Limited shipment upon arrival in your country. We are not able to determine the amount of these VAT fees, import taxes, or cross-border customs brokerage fees, and they are in no way, shape or form any part of our own Ruscool Electronics Limited shipping costs. For more precise information on expected import duties, please consult your government's local customs agency or similar authority.
I want to purchase several items at once, how does that affect the freight charges?
All freight charges will be combined and kept to a minimum. The easiest way of doing this is to contact us first (via email) with the items you wish to purchase and we'll tell you the re-calculated freight charge before you make any payment.
Whoops, too late, I've already paid the exorbitant  freight! What now?
So, now that I've paid, when can I expect delivery?
No problem. We can either refund the excess amount or add additional items to your order. For example, maybe you'd like us to mount some extra hardware to your panels, motorise a gauge, throw in a dual rotary encoder and knobs or a copy of our FSUIPC monitoring software. Don't worry, we'll sort it out.
The lead time will vary, although we'll keep you constantly updated via email as to the progress of your items. We have many items in stock, such as our control boards, so they can usually be sent quickly (though we do spend some time testing them first). Typically, a set of panels will take about a week from the time of ordering to us posting them. Custom work obviously takes a bit longer but we'll be in constant communication with you.
CUSTOMISATION FAQs
I want to convert the dummy gauge that came with my panel into an operational unit, can this be done?
Certainly, and all of our dummy gauges have been designed with this in mind. The gauge needle can be driven by a small servo motor that attaches to the rear of the gauge's body, completely out of sight once fitted and installed in your simulator. The cost of this upgrade would be an additional US$65-00 per gauge and we would of course supply you with instructions on how to get the gauges conversing with your flight simulation software.
Can my panels be painted with a custom colour?
Most likely, yes. Our range of available colours is always expanding, although we do have access to customised aerosol paints if necessary. There may be an additional charge with this service, but we can discuss this prior to making any arrangements.
64 OUTPUTS (Config) FAQs
I've selected my data, saved it and exited, but when I run the main program my changes aren't there. What's going on?
Please check that you've clicked the appropriate 'on/off' or 'range' button.
The description doesn't turn red or green and won't switch the output. Why not?
Depending on which value style you've chosen, you will also need to specify both an 'on' and 'off' value, or a 'min' and 'max' value.?
